Many years ago, I developed what I believed to be a fairly enjoyable and entertaining game Rogue Drone for both the web and Android platforms using the powerful Unity3D engine.
When life became a little more hectic and demanding than usual, I unfortunately ended up putting the project aside and completely dropping it. Then, by the time things finally settled down and I was ready to get back to it, I realized that I had lost the original APK file and only had incomplete, partial copies of the source code remaining. Don’t ask me exactly how that happened, but it seems pretty clear that I wasn’t very skilled or diligent when it came to making proper backups back when I was a teenager.
A nice surprise
As you probably guessed by the title I was browsing Itch one day, decided to type it’s name in to see if it was still there and it was! And you can play it here
About Rogue Drone
So in the game, you’re basically this high-tech prototype drone trying to escape a facility run by an evil megacorp called DroneTech. As you blast your way through each area, things start to heat up. The further you get, the more aggressive they become. They’ll throw tougher and smarter drones at you, and the chaos just keeps building. It’s all-out war, and you’re right in the middle of it.
I wanted to make sure your drone doesn’t just play cool — it has to look cool too. You can customize it with 50 different paint jobs.
if that sounds like something you’d like to give a go, amazingly it’s still on itch!
